Iran proposes a new solution beyond "nuclear" to end the war

Iran, through Pakistani mediators, has submitted a new proposal to the United States aimed at reaching an agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and end the war, according to US officials and sources quoted by the news website Axios.

The sources said that the proposal calls for the postponement of the nuclear negotiations to a later stage, as it aims to overcome internal differences in Iran over nuclear concessions.

U.S. President Donald Trump  is expected to hold  a meeting on Iran with his top officials on Monday, where the meeting will discuss the impasse in negotiations with Iran and options for the next steps in the war.

In Pakistan, Araqchi discussed a new proposal that tries to overcome the current impasse over the nuclear program, the officials said.

They noted that the new Iranian-Pakistani proposal focuses first on resolving the Strait of Hormuz crisis and the US blockade, under which the ceasefire will be extended for a long period or an agreement to end the war permanently.

According to the proposal, nuclear negotiations will only begin at a later stage after the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the lifting of the blockade, and Pakistani mediators have presented the Iranian proposal to the White House, but it is not clear what Washington's willingness to discuss it.

Araqchi explained to the mediators the lack of consensus within Iran's leadership on Trump's demands on enriched uranium, according to Axios, and  the sources indicated that Iran's proposal is aimed at overcoming disagreements in the internal leadership over the required nuclear concessions.

Omani Foreign Minister reveals the content of his meeting with Araqji

Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albu Saeedi confirmed that he had a fruitful discussion with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araqchi during the latter's visit to Muscat, and also published a photo of the two ministers during the talks.

"As two coastal states, we recognize our shared responsibility to the international community and the urgent humanitarian need to free long-detained seafarers," he said in a post on the X platform.

"It requires intensive diplomatic efforts and practical solutions to ensure freedom of navigation permanently," he said.

White House: Washington will not negotiate through the media

Axios quoted a White House spokeswoman as saying that Washington will not negotiate through the media, and that discussions on the Iranian file are sensitive.

The spokeswoman explained that Trump said that Washington is the decision-maker and will only conclude an agreement in the interest of our people first, noting that the United States will never allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon.

Araghchi arrives in Russia after Pakistan and Oman

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin will receive Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, according to Russia's TASS news agency.

The Russian Foreign Ministry had previously confirmed that Araghchi had visited Russia for talks, and at dawn on Monday, Araghchi arrived in Russia after a brief stop in Pakistan after visiting Oman on a regional tour.

This trip, which includes 3 countries, comes with the aim of holding bilateral consultations, discussing current regional developments, and the latest developments related to the war imposed on Iran.

The minister wrote on the X platform before the start of the tour: "The purpose of my visits is to coordinate closely with our partners on bilateral issues and to consult on regional developments. Our neighbors are our priority."
