Iran declares 70% success in striking US bases

An  Iranian military source said that preliminary data and reviews of satellite images and information of Iran's security apparatus  revealed a great success of the large-scale military operation carried out by the Iranian armed forces at dawn on Wednesday.

The military source confirmed to Fars news agency that the missile weapon and the air force were able to hit 70% of the precisely defined military targets, adding that Iranian long-range ballistic missiles and drones "succeeded in penetrating the air defense systems deployed in US bases in the region."

The source pointed out that the Iranian missiles and drones hit their precisely defined targets at the "Azraq" base in Jordan, the "Ali Al-Salem" base in Kuwait, in addition to the headquarters of the US Fifth Base (Fifth Fleet) in Bahrain.

The "Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters" in Iran announced that a number of US bases in the region were subjected to strong attacks by the army and Revolutionary Guards fighters, in response to the aggression of MotherYarki on areas in the south of the country under the pretext of the downing of one of the helicopters.

The headquarters also warned the US military against a repeat of the aggression against the Islamic Republic, stressing that any new attack would be met with more severe and broader attacks against predetermined targets in the region.

IRGC: We will not give up

Majid Mousavi, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Forces, said that "the enemy will not be able to achieve what it was unable to achieve on the battlefield through the negotiating table."

This came in a post on the "X" platform, commenting on the 100th anniversary of the US-Israeli attacks against Iran, and added that Iran "does not give up and does not deceive", stressing that Tehran "does not trust the promises of the enemy", referring to the US and Israel.

On Tuesday, Trump said in a press statement that a possible deal with Iran could be signed within two or three days and that  the Strait of Hormuz would be reopened once the deal was signed.

Iran's Foreign Ministry Appeals to the United Nations and the Security Council

Iran's Foreign Ministry has described the attacks carried out by the United States on areas in the south of the country under the pretext of the downing of a US helicopter as a "clear violation of international law", the official IRNA news agency reported.

The ministry said in a statement on Wednesday,  June 10, that the US strikes violate Article II, paragraph 4, of the UN Charter, and the basic principle that prohibits the use of force against other countries.

The statement stressed that the attacks targeted Iran's national sovereignty and territorial integrity, noting that Tehran responded to them within its legitimate right to self-defense, by targeting what it said were US military bases and assets in the region from which these strikes were launched.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry stressed the "legal and moral responsibility" of the countries of the region, particularly those located on the southern coasts of the Gulf, in preventing the US military and Israel from using their territory or facilities to plan or carry out hostile acts against Iran.

It called on the Security Council and UN Secretary-General António Guterres to shoulder their responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security and to hold those responsible for the attacks accountable.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said the US strikes were harming the diplomatic track, noting that "contradictory messages, shifting demands, and continued violations of the ceasefire by the United States" are hampering any progress in the negotiations.

Baqai also accused Israel of "harming diplomatic efforts" through what he described as "repeated violations of the ceasefire" in Lebanon.
