Internal Security in Aleppo: Prosecution of a person involved in the lowering of the national flag

 The Internal Security Command in Aleppo Governorate confirmed that it is following with great interest the incident that occurred during the Nowruz celebrations, represented by a person deliberately dropping the Syrian flag, stressing that the necessary measures will be taken against him in accordance with the legal procedures.

 

 

The Internal Security Command in Aleppo province issued a statement in which it confirmed that the competent authorities are following the incident with great interest, noting that this behavior is considered a violation of the laws and regulations in force, and harms the symbolism and sovereignty of the state.

 

The statement stressed that the national flag represents a symbol of the country's unity and dignity, and that any attack on it is an act against the law and requires legal accountability.

 

The competent authorities called on all those who have reliable information about the identity or whereabouts of the concerned person to cooperate and report through official channels, in order to ensure that the necessary legal measures are taken against him in accordance with the rules.

 

The leadership also affirmed its keenness to apply the law fairly, maintain security and stability, and deal with such acts within the legal framework without transgression.

 

The statement concluded by stressing that adherence to the law is the only guarantee of protecting society and preserving the dignity of the state.

 

During the celebration of Nowruz, the northern countryside of Aleppo witnessed quarrels during which a person dropped the national flag, which led to a state of celebration among the people in the area.

 

According to local sources,  the residents of the areas of Tal Rifaat and the surrounding villages blocked the Afrin-Aleppo road for several hours, in protest against the events.

 

For his part, the director of internal security in Aleppo, Mohammed Abdel Ghani, went to the city of Afrin to review the latest developments and try to contain the situation.
