Gulf summit in Jeddah. News of Oman's non-participation
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman chaired on Tuesday (April 28th) a Gulf consultative summit that discussed coordinating efforts on regional issues and regional and international developments.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that "the crown prince chaired the Gulf Consultative Summit of the Leaders and Heads of Delegations of the Gulf Cooperation Council States (GCC) countries in Jeddah in the west of the Kingdom," without naming the attendees.
Earlier on Tuesday, Saudi Arabia's Al-Ekhbariya TV reported that Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad, Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Kuwait's Crown Prince Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah arrived in Jeddah and were received by the Saudi Crown Prince.
UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed also arrived in Jeddah and was received by his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan, according to the same source, without naming the representative of the Sultanate of Oman at the summit.
Oman's participation in the summit has not been announced.
During the summit, "a number of topics and issues related to regional and international developments and coordination of efforts towards them" were discussed, according to SPA, which did not provide further details.
