Google to present its most prominent products tomorrow at its 2026 annual conference

Developers and tech enthusiasts around the world are on the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California, where the two-day Google I/O 2026 Developer Conference kicks off on Tuesday.
The American giant is preparing to reveal what has been going on behind the scenes for the past year, amid expectations of revolutionary announcements led by upgrades to the Gemini AI model, the launch of the first Android XR-powered smart glasses, and a review of the future of its embedded operating systems.
Broadcast timing and conference themes
The American company's sources stated that the conference will start with a live broadcast of the keynote speech tomorrow morning, followed by a speech for the developers, and although this part delves into complex technical terminology and software, it is a practical guide to explain the full potential and tools that the platform provides to innovators around the world.
The company identified the conference themes, including Gemini's predictive intelligence or independent personal client "Remy" as artificial intelligence continues to capture the largest share of the conference.
PC Mag reports that Google will launch a massive upgrade to its large language model under the codename Remy.
The system is designed to act as an "independent personal agent" capable of automatically managing email and scheduling appointments without user intervention. The upgrade includes an improved user interface, larger contextual windows for data analysis, a unified multimedia model (supports text, images, audio, video, and software in a single window), as well as new features for its creative tools such as the Veo video generator and Lyria music generator, and a comprehensive update for iPhone users via its iOS app.
Android 17: Transform into an all-in-one intelligence platform
After breaking with tradition and showcasing the initial features of Android 17 at a separate event (Android Show) on May 12 , developers at the I/O conference are looking forward to additional surprises in store.
The new update goes beyond being a system for mobile phones, smartwatches, and cars, to a more sophisticated product that integrates with Gemini's predictive environment, along with a preview of the upcoming smartwatch system Wear OS 7.
This year's conference will be the official launch pad for Aluminum OS, a desktop operating system that effectively integrates Android and ChromeOS. The company will launch the developer beta as soon as the keyword is finished, with details of its collaboration with Qualcomm To manufacture custom chips for these new devices known as Googlebooks and are mainly based on Gemini processors.
Android XR Smart Glasses
One year after the Android XR operating system was showcased, it's time for the revolutionary smart glasses to be officially debuted. Developers are looking forward to the announcement of the Aura project in collaboration with XReal, and to learn the details and timing of the glasses' release, which is the result of Google's collaboration with iconic designs from Gentle Monster and Warby Parker.
