Germany withdraws its support for Israel in the genocide case before the "International Justice"

The German Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday the withdrawal of support for Israel in the case of the genocide in Gaza filed before the International Court of Justice in The Hague, against the background of a lawsuit filed against it.
Germany has reneged on its previous commitment to support Israel in South Africa's case over genocide accusations, a German Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
The ministry explained that the decision to withdraw the subsidy is linked to the legal difficulties Berlin is facing in The Hague, where it itself faces accusations of violating international law.
Nicaragua filed a separate case accusing Germany of violating the Convention on the Prevention of Genocide through its political, military and financial support for Israel during the war, in clear violation of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide signed in 1948 and the Geneva Convention signed in 1949 regarding the laws of war in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Germany shows open support for the Israeli occupation state, despite the horrific massacres committed by the latter in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.
South Africa had filed a lawsuit against the Israeli occupation at the International Court of Justice, accusing it of committing the crime of genocide in the Gaza Strip against unarmed civilians.
Since October 7, the occupation forces have committed a devastating war on the Gaza Strip and horrific massacres, which have left tens of thousands of martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, in addition to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe and massive destruction of infrastructure.
