The rains that witnessed unprecedented rains in the northeastern region of Syria last night and today led to floods and torrential rains that swept the region.

 

In Al-Hasakah province, the director of the Water Resources Branch, Eng. Abdulaziz Amin, told Syria News that heavy rains and floods led to the return of water flow in the course of the Jaggag River in the city of Al-Hasakah after many years of completely drying up.

 

He confirmed that floods and floods swept a number of villages and farms in various areas of the province, such as the village of Al-Atala in the southern countryside of Al-Hasakah, and Wadi Al-Makran and um Al-Dibs, south of the city of Ras al-Ain, north of Al-Hasakah, which led to the cutting of roads leading to some villages, as a result of the heavy rains witnessed in the province.

Amin added that the floodwaters flooded the berm parallel to the M4 road south of Ras al-Ain.

 

In Raqqa governorate, floods and floods swept the town of Hazima, north of Raqqa, as a result of the heavy rains that the area witnessed, and the collapse of the roof of a house in the village of Al-Buhamad, east of Raqqa, led to the death of four members of the Al-Jawwal family, as a result of the rainstorm that hit the area today.
