
Election Committee: The way is now ready for the first session of the People's Assembly

The spokesman of the Supreme Committee for the Elections of the People's Assembly, Nawar Najmeh, announced the success of the electoral process that took place today in Al-Hasakah province and in the Ayn al-Arab area in Aleppo, stressing that the people of these areas have proven their real desire and national will to participate in the political process and build legislative institutions in Syria.
Paving the way for the first session of the Council
Najmeh explained that after the completion of the elections in Al-Hasakah and Ayn al-Arab, the way is fully paved for the first session of the People's Assembly, immediately after the issuance of the presidential decree naming the members of the third appointed by the President of the Republic.
Najmeh pointed out that the seats in Sweida province are likely to remain vacant until the appropriate security and political conditions are available for holding elections in it, pointing out at the same time that the names of the 70 members appointed by a decision of the president of the republic will be announced soon.
Winners
In a related context, the spokesman of the committee announced that (Farhad Anwar Shaheen) and (Shawakh Ibrahim Al-Assaf) won the membership of the People's Assembly for the Ain Al-Arab area of the Aleppo Governorate Electoral District, and (Ibrahim Mustafa Al-Ali), Omar Issa Hayes, and (Fasla Youssef) won the electoral district of Al-Hasakah Governorate.
Al-Abda: Today's elections are a step in the path of national integration
Anas Al-Abdeh, a member of the Supreme Elections Committee, stressed in a statement that today's election process is the result of agreements and positive dialogue between the various parties, stressing that the importance of these elections stems from the fact that they represent a pivotal step in the path of national integration.
Al-Abdeh pointed out that the electoral process will give the people of Al-Hasakah province, with their various components, a real opportunity to participate actively in national decision-making.
He explained that the voice of the people of the province will be an essential part of the general national scene, along with the voices of the rest of the Syrian governorates, in a way that contributes to building the features of the new Syrian state and consolidating one of its most important pillars based on representation, participation and national diversity.
This morning, the process of suggestion began in the election centers of Al-Hasakah and Qamishli, as well as in Ain al-Arab in Aleppo province.
