French club Paris Saint-Germain is seeking an important step ahead of its match against Liverpool in the  2025-2026 Champions League competitions..

After the current international break in March, Liverpool will play a FA Cup match against Manchester City and an away match against Everton, before and after the Champions League quarter-final matches.

Between the two legs, Liverpool host Fulham on April 11 and will have three days to prepare for the second leg at Anfield against Paris Saint-Germain.

The first leg between Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain will be held on April  8, with the second leg on April  14,  while Paris Saint-Germain will face second-placed Lens in the French league on April 11.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly seeking to postpone their match against Lens in order to rest the players between the two Champions League quarter-final clashes against Liverpool.

The French newspaper  L'Equipe pointed out that Lens has expressed his objection to the postponement of his match against Paris Saint-Germain, and  the final decision will be made by the French league on Thursday, and Pierre Sage, the coach of Lens, stated in statements published by the newspaper "L'Equipe": "We completely disagree with the postponement of the match."

"We played a game in the French Cup (in Lyon), it was scheduled for Thursday, and then we had to face Metz on Sunday, I understand that rest allows for a better performance, and they proved that in their game against Chelsea."

"They are a very successful club now, they are competing in many competitions, I admit that they are also aware of the limitations, and for us, there is only one game left, we should not tolerate this situation."

If he does not agree to PSG's request for a postponement, the team will travel to face Lens on Saturday 11 April, giving them the same preparation period as Liverpool (three days) before the second leg.
