On the 164th day of the ceasefire agreement, and the third day of Eid al-Fitr, the Israeli occupation army continued its attacks on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death and injury of a number of Palestinians.
According to medical sources, a Palestinian child was wounded by the Israeli army's bullets in the Al-Mawasi area, west of the city of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, and the Israeli helicopters fired east of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, and a woman from the Al-Wadiya family was wounded following gunshots fired by military vehicles towards the displaced people at the Abdel Fattah Hamouda School in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
In this context, on Saturday evening and early Sunday, settlers escalated their attacks against the residents of villages in Jenin, Wasila al-Dhahr in the West Bank, which resulted in the injury of a number of Palestinians, while the occupation forces arrested 3 Palestinians during an attack in Hebron, and two others were injured as a result of the attack.
Palestinian sources confirmed that settlers set fire to houses, vehicles and agricultural fields in various areas of the West Bank, and according to Palestinian statistics, settler attacks have increased by more than 25 percent since the outbreak of the war on Gaza, which led to the death of 8 Palestinians in separate incidents.
Since the ceasefire, the total number of martyrs has reached 682, in addition to 1819 wounded, while ambulances and civil defense have been able to retrieve 756 martyrs, according to the Ministry of Health, which confirmed that the number of martyrs since the beginning of the war of extermination on October 8, 2023, has risen to 72,253, and the injured are 171,912.
