BUILDDEX prepares for its widest edition with the participation of 630 companies from 41 countries

The Arab Group for Exhibitions and Conferences launched the activities of the 24th edition of the International Building Exhibition (BILDEX) during a press conference held at the Damaroz Hotel in Damascus under the auspices of the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment, marking the launch of one of the largest editions of the exhibition since its establishment in 1996.

The exhibition will open its doors on June 10 at the Exhibition City in Damascus, on an area exceeding 140,000 square meters, with the participation of 630 companies from 41 countries, including 220 international companies and 410 local companies, representing the latest in building technologies, cladding materials and engineering equipment.

Remarkable diplomatic presence

The conference witnessed a wide official and diplomatic presence, presented by the Turkish Ambassador in Damascus Nuh Yilmaz, along with the ambassadors of Bahrain and Jordan, the Minister of Finance Mohammed Yusr Barnieh, the governors of Damascus and Damascus countryside, and the heads of the chambers of industry and commerce. According to observers, this attendance reflects the growing regional interest in the exhibition and its role in supporting the construction and reconstruction sector.

Anjrani: Wide participation reflects confidence in the Syrian market

The Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Eng. Mohammed Anjarani, stressed that the volume of international and local participation constitutes "a clear indication of the growing confidence in the Syrian market, and the real interest of Arab and international companies to be partners in the next phase of construction."

Anjarani pointed out that the ministry places the file of the affected areas at the center of its priorities, by adopting modern methods in planning and implementation, in order to ensure more efficient and sustainable cities.

Hamza: Exhibitions are part of the path of economic recovery

For his part, Mohammed Hamza, director of the Syrian Foundation for Exhibitions and International Markets, stressed that exhibitions are no longer just organizational events, but have become "an essential part of the path of economic recovery in Syria, and a platform to support productive sectors and strengthen partnerships."

Hamza revealed a development vision for the exhibition city, which includes upgrading the infrastructure and raising its readiness to host larger and more specialized events during the next phase.

Hilal: 120 thousand items waiting for visitors

For his part, the Director of the Arab Group for Exhibitions and Conferences, Eng. Alaa Hilal, explained that this year's edition is witnessing a "qualitative leap" in terms of the number of companies, spaces and the quality of exhibitors, stressing that the exhibition has practically completed all of its bookings.

Hilal indicated that Buildx will allow visitors to inspect more than 120,000 items representing 1,800 brands, in addition to organizing official business meetings through the B2B program  under the supervision of the exhibition's management.

Thirty Years of Success

The conference included the screening of a documentary film that reviews Bildex's three-decade journey since its inception in 1996 and the role it has played in supporting the construction sector in Syria and the region.

Visiting Dates

The exhibition welcomes visitors daily from 5 pm to 11 pm, during the period from 10 to 14 June, to allow them to see the latest developments in building and construction technologies in Syria and the region.
