Boats in the "Steadfastness Flotilla" break through the Israeli encirclement and continue sailing towards Gaza

Participants in the "Steadfastness Flotilla" heading to the Gaza Strip announced that one of the humanitarian boats succeeded in escaping the interception and piracy carried out by the Israeli occupation forces in international waters. Sources on board the flotilla confirmed that the boat continued to sail directly towards the shores of the stricken Strip, despite the chase, harassment and intensive military landing operations against the rest of the campaign's ships at sea off the coast of Cyprus.
Other sources indicated that more than one boat managed to break through the encirclement imposed by the Israeli navy on the Steadfastness Flotilla in international waters.
Behind the scenes of the maneuver of the ship "Qasr 1" towards Gaza
In a statement broadcast from the "Palace 1" ship, human rights activist and fleet participant Khalil Al-Obeidi explained that the naval crew was able to cross the first barrier of interception and encirclement imposed by Israeli gunboats after a "breathtaking naval maneuver that lasted for more than two hours." Al-Obeidi added in a deterministic tone: "We have left the ships and battleships of the occupation army behind us. We are now on our way directly and non-stop to the Gaza Strip to deliver aid."
Piracy at Sea
Earlier today, Israeli media reported that elite units in the Israeli navy have begun the process of controlling the "Global Steadfastness Flotilla" that set off last Thursday from Turkey towards the Gaza Strip, noting that the interceptions took place off the coast of Cyprus, hundreds of kilometers away.
Israeli naval vessels intercepted the humanitarian flotilla in international waters as it sailed from Turkey to the besieged enclave, amid reports that commandos stormed ships and arrested dozens of international activists, while the mission's organizers stressed that their mission was "completely humanitarian and peaceful."
Details of the attack and control of the fleet
Israeli media, including Yedioth Ahronoth and Channel 12, reported that the elite naval commando unit "Shaitit 13" carried out the operation to control the flotilla's ships hundreds of miles from the Palestinian coast.
Reports indicated that the occupation forces arrested about 100 activists who were on board the ships, and they were immediately transferred to an Israeli warship that was equipped to operate as a "floating prison", in preparation for towing the ships and later transferring the solidarity activists to the port of Ashdod.
Al-Marzouqi: The battle of the occupation is losing and the message has reached the world
In the same context, former Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki confirmed that some of the solidarity boats have already succeeded in evading the grip of the Israeli commandos and heading towards Gaza.
In press statements made on Monday, Marzouki pointed out that the fate of these boats reaching the shores of the Gaza Strip is still fraught with danger and is not decided in accordance with the military process, but stressed that the international will to break the Israeli blockade on Gaza "continues and will continue to be strong regardless of the challenges and sacrifices."
Mobilizing European and American public opinion
Al-Marzouqi explained that the "Global Steadfastness Flotilla" succeeded in achieving its political and moral goals before the field, and this was embodied in conveying a firm message to the Israeli occupation that the blockade imposed on Gaza since 2007 "will disappear no matter how long it takes", considering that Tel Aviv "is fighting a completely losing battle at the level of its international and legal reputation, and it is no longer reaping from its piracy except more condemnation, despite any temporary gains on the ground."
The former Tunisian president concluded his speech by pointing out that the flotilla's messages primarily address the global conscience, especially in Europe and the American public, with the aim of breaking the international wall of silence towards the genocide and the ongoing violations against the Palestinian people.
