
Barcelona snatch victory from Atletico Madrid with Lewandowski sting

Barcelona snatched a dramatic 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid at the top of LaLiga matchday 30 after Robert Lewandowski scored a killer goal in the 87th minute.
The win strengthened Barcelona's lead with 67 points, 7 points clear of Real Madrid, who lost to Real Mallorca, while Atletico's balance was frozen at 57 points.
Atletico took the lead through Giuliano Simeone in the 39th minute, before Barcelona responded quickly with Marcus Rashford's goal in the 42nd minute.
The second half witnessed continuous Catalan pressure, and successful substitutions from Hans Flick, before Lewandowski decided the match with a goal that came after Cancelo's ball bounced inside the area.
The match was a prelude to a new clash between the two teams in the quarter-finals of the Champions League next Wednesday.
A fatal loss topples Arsenal. And Chelsea rehabilitate him
Arsenal bid farewell to the FA Cup competitions, from the last eight, after losing 1-2 to Southampton, at St. Mary's Stadium, and Southampton opened the scoring in the 35th minute through Ross Stewart.
Southampton's defence withstood Arsenal's attack, until Victor Giukiris equalized for Arsenal in the 68th minute, and 5 minutes before the end of the original time, Southampton snatched the winning goal through Shea Charles.
In the same round, Chelsea thrashed Port Vale with seven goals without reply, scoring Chelsea's goals for Port Vale's João Pedro and Port Vale's Jordan Gabriel, as well as Toussaint, Andre Santos, Estevo and Garnacho.
Chelsea responded with a hat-trick against Everton before the international break, after losing in the Premier League.
