Arsenal beat Burnley and move closer to winning the Premier League

Arsenal beat Burnley  1-0 on Monday in the 37th round of the Premier Football League to move one step closer to winning the title.

Kai Havertz scored the only goal of the match in the 37th minute of the match to lead his team to consolidate its position at the top of the league with one round to go.

With this result, Arsenal raises its score to (82) points, five points behind second-placed Manchester City, while Burnley stands in the nineteenth (penultimate place) as one of the relegated clubs of the English First Division.

Arsenal are just three points away from winning the title and will be looking for away from home in their next clash with Crystal Palace at the end of the league next Sunday, or their rivals Manchester City stumble tomorrow against Bournemouth in the same round with a loss.

The English capital team is going through its best period in the current season 2025-2026, as it qualified for the Champions League final for the first time in twenty years,  and it is noteworthy that Arsenal's last league title was in 2004 under French coach Arsène Wenger.

Tottenham seek to snatch a ticket to stay against Chelsea

The Tottenham team seeks to ensure survival in the Premier League competition when it hosts Chelsea at 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday at Stamford Bridge Stadium, within the competitions of the 37th and penultimate round of the "Premier League" competition.

Burnley's relegation alongside Wolverhampton to the lower division of England's competitions has been confirmed, while there is only one card left that will be revealed later, as Tottenham occupies 17th place in the Premier League table with 38 points, two points ahead of West Ham United, which is in 17th place.

Tottenham's hopes of survival were renewed after West Ham United's 3-1 defeat to Newcastle United in the match that brought them together at St. James' Park, in the competitions of the 37th and penultimate round.

West Ham lost in the last round match to Arsenal by a goal for nothing, while Tottenham drew with Leeds United 1-1, and West Ham play in the last round next Sunday at home against Leeds United, while Tottenham host its rival Everton.

On the other hand, Chelsea, who are in 10th place with 49 points, are seeking to reconcile their fans by achieving a moral victory over Tottenham in the London derby, after losing the FA Cup final last Saturday against Manchester City, the Egyptian player Omar Marmoush with a goal for nothing.

Chelsea sign Spanish coach Xabi Alonso

The English club Chelsea announced the signing of Spanish Xabi Alonso to lead the first team for four years, and he will officially start his duties from July 1, in a move aimed at starting a new phase within Stamford Bridge.

Alonso, 44, returns to the Premier League from the coaching portal, having previously worn the Liverpool shirt as a player between 2004 and 2009, before starting his coaching career, which saw remarkable successes in a short time.

Alonso was able to achieve a remarkable achievement in his first experience with professional teams, after leading Bayer Leverkusen to the Bundesliga title, before later moving on to coach Real Madrid, an experience that ended in an early departure in early 2026.
