Apple launches public betas of iOS 27 with unprecedented features

Apple has officially made public beta versions of its new operating system suite, which is expected to be released in September. The beta package includes iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, and watchOS 27, as well as watchOS 27, giving users of its devices the opportunity to explore new features and improvements before the official release.
The announcement of the updates came yesterday, Tuesday, July 14, to reveal a qualitative leap for its voice assistant "Siri", which has turned into a smart system that relies entirely on advanced artificial intelligence technologies, to enable it to understand the context, analyze the contents of the screen, and execute multi-step commands in applications, provided that the service is temporarily limited to the English language and temporarily blocked within the scope of the European Union countries during the initial launch phase.
Advanced Apple Intelligence capabilities and blazing speed
The new systems offer tangible upgrades to Apple's AI platform and the overall performance of efficient devices, which are categorized as follows:
Advanced editing tools: Includes Spatial Reframing to recreate the quality and framing of photos after they have been taken, Extend to expand the edges of photos, as well as the development of the Unwanted Element Removal Tool and Image Playground app.
Improved system responsiveness: iOS 27 records a 30% increase in app opening speed compared to previous versions, with 70% faster image appearance in the Gallery app, and 80% higher AirDrop file transfer efficiency.
Safari and password upgrades: Safari offers tab organization and a "alert me" feature to track prices, while the password app automatically detects, scans, and updates weak words.
Liquid Glass interface treatment: The company responded to user feedback by adding an optical control bar to increase the clarity of the new design elements and control its visual effect.
Features for watchOS 27 and Apple Watch
watchOS 27 has been integrated into the new Siri assistant for self-use during physical exercise and mobility, as well as a dynamic app network update, and a single-tap gesture to interact with Smart Stack elements. On the medical and sports side, the menstrual cycle tracking system has been updated to include the premenopausal phase and the development of the exercise app to work independently without the need to connect to a nearby iPhone.
Productivity features in macOS 27 and iPadOS 27
On PC, macOS 27 Golden Gate focused on productivity enhancement features by integrating Siri features into the Spotlight search engine to help write and analyze screen contents directly, as well as redesigning windows and side menus to be more consistent.
On the iPad front, iPadOS 27 offers basic phone system features with the addition of Apple Pencil's support for Visual Intelligence to identify and search for objects, and improve the speed of file transfer with SSDs to be five times faster than the previous version.
The company issued a technical warning to users stating that these versions are still in their unstable beta phase, and could cause software bugs and increased battery power consumption, advising them to wait until the release of subsequent beta versions or the stable version officially next September.
