

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Al-Shaibani, on Sunday, in his first visit to Cairo, discussed bilateral relations and regional and international developments with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdel Aty and coordinated positions on them.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement today that the two sides discussed extensively during the meeting ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, expand the horizons of cooperation on issues and files of common interest, in addition to discussing the latest developments and developments in the regional and international arenas.
The two sides discussed accelerated regional developments, including the course of the US-Iran negotiations and efforts to de-escalate and contain tensions in the region and the world.
The two sides also exchanged views on the developments in Lebanon, where Minister Abdel Aty stressed the need for concerted regional and international efforts to spare the region from the risk of sliding into wider conflicts, in order to ensure the establishment of the foundations of regional security and stability.
You meet the will of the two peoples

Ambassador Tamim Khalaf, the official spokesman of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs , said in a statement after the meeting that Minister Abdel Aty stressed during the talks the depth of the historical, popular and cultural ties that unite Egypt and Syria, pointing out that this common asset embodies the convergence of the will of the two brotherly peoples throughout history.
Abdel Aty explained that Egypt's position on the situation in Syria was based from the beginning on clear principles based on sincere keenness to support efforts aimed at restoring security and stability, and preserving Syria's unity and the cohesion of its national fabric, reaffirming Egypt's support for the legitimate aspirations of the Syrian people in all its components, stressing full respect for Syria's sovereignty, unity, stability and territorial integrity.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister stressed the need to preserve the institutions of the Syrian national state and reject any external interference in its internal affairs, in order to meet the legitimate aspirations of the Syrian people towards laying the foundations of comprehensive internal stability, pointing out the need for concerted efforts to combat terrorism and extremism in all its forms and forms, and to deal with the phenomenon of foreign fighters, and for Syria to be a source of stability.
Egypt condemns Israeli violations
At the regional level, Minister Abdel Aty expressed Egypt's categorical rejection of Israel's blatant violations of Syrian sovereignty, reiterating Egypt's total condemnation of these violations, and expressing its total rejection of the attempts of Israeli forces to exploit the current situation in Syria by occupying more territory and undermining its security and stability, calling on Israel to abide by the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, stressing Egypt's firm position and support for the need to end the Israeli occupation of the Syrian Golan.
The talks were attended by the Minister of Economy and Industry Nidal Al-Shaar and the Egyptian Minister of Industry, Eng. Khaled Hashem.
Developing economic cooperation

In a separate meeting, Minister Al-Shaibani and Minister Al-Shaar discussed with Egyptian Minister of Industry Khaled Hashem and the President of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones Mohamed Awad after their arrival in Cairo, ways to develop economic, industrial and investment cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the two sides focused on expanding bilateral partnerships and opening new horizons for cooperation, in a way that promotes common interests and supports economic integration between Syria and Egypt.
In this context, Minister Al-Shaar issued a decision to form the Syrian-Egyptian Business Council , headed by Ghassan Karim.
On March 27, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates had a phone call with his Egyptian counterpart, which discussed the developments in bilateral relations and the current regional situation.
At the time, Ambassador Tamim Khalaf, the official spokesman of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, explained that the call witnessed a review of the mechanisms to advance and develop joint relations in various fields, especially at the economic and trade levels.
