After two years of bans. Approval of the screening of the movie "Tarot"
The film "Tarot" by the artist Sumaya Al-Khashab has received official approval from the Egyptian censorship of artistic works, in preparation for its release in cinemas, after a long period of postponement that lasted about two years due to the failure of the procedures for permitting the screening.
Producer Bilal Sabri, owner of "The King Productions", announced on his Facebook account that his new film "Tarot Papers" has received the official censorship permit, confirming that the work is free of any problems, stressing that the work is ready to be shown without any crises or censorship observations that hinder its release to the public.
Age rating and preparations for the show
Bilal Sabry explained that the film has received an age rating of +16, noting that the team is currently preparing to start the promotional campaign for the film before its official release in cinemas.
He also revealed that preparations are being made to hold a press conference in the coming days in the presence of the protagonists and makers of the work, in order to talk about the film's backstage and implementation stages, in addition to clarifying the challenges that faced the project from its inception until it obtained the final approval.
The producer expressed his great happiness with the end of the film's crisis, thanking everyone who supported him during the past period, and affirmed his desire to open a new page with everyone, calling for spreading the spirit of tolerance and love.
The Heroes of the Tarot
The film features a large cast of stars, including Sumaya Al-Khashab, Rania Youssef, May Salim, Mohamed Ezz, Munther Reyhanna, Abdel Aziz Makhyoun, Mohamed Suleiman, Alaa Morsi, and Khaled Mahrous, in addition to Wael Metwally.
A number of guests of honor are participating in the work, most notably Ahmed Al-Tohamy, Mohammed Khamis, Youssef Mansour ("The Boy of the Ghazala Raiqa"), Kenzi Ramah, Saeed Yahya, and other stars, in addition to Marwa Gali Hassan, media consultant for "The King Productions" and the film, who is in charge of media supervision and the development and implementation of the promotion plans for the work, and the film is written by Moataz Al-Mufti and directed by Ibram Neshaat.
Fans of Sumaya Al-Khashab are waiting for the release date of the Tarot in theaters, especially after the controversy that accompanied its postponement for a long time, amid expectations that the work will receive a wide viewership and attention when it is officially released.
The events of "Tarot Papers" revolve around a mysterious incident that changes the course of the lives of three women, within a dramatic plot full of surprises, where Rania Youssef embodies the character of "Mary", who suffers from a psychological crisis following that incident, in a work that is expected to provoke a state of controversy as soon as it is released in cinemas.
