The father of the retired artist revealed the details of this shocking decision through a touching audio message he posted on the "Story" feature on his Instagram account, explaining the steps his son will take before his complete absence from the live scene and festivals.

In his audio message, Al-Silawi affirmed his moral and legal commitment to all artistic contracts and contracts concluded with production companies, reassuring his audience that he has 18 new works of art that will be released in two lyrical albums to fulfill his professional promises before his complete withdrawal.

 The Jordanian artist said that this year will be his last stop on the music scene, as he will continue to perform a limited number of concerts linked to previous contracts, to mark the end of his association with live performances.

Al-Silawi explained  that the decision to retire came after a personal review and a desire to rearrange his priorities, especially in light of the existence of family obligations and rights that need full focus.

He pointed out that he continues to undergo a treatment program, in addition to his responsibility for caring for his daughter, stressing that the difficulty of reconciling the requirements of the artwork with his personal life was the main factor behind making this decision.

Al-Silawi's announcement comes after a period that witnessed remarkable personal developments in his life, which made the news of his retirement a wide follow-up from his fans, who reacted to his decision with messages of support and wishes for success.

In another context, the name of Hossam al-Silawi had been at the forefront of attention during the past period after statements that provoked widespread anger, which dealt with the Islamic religion, the interpretation of the Qur'an, and insulting the prophets, which prompted the Jordanian security authorities to take measures against him immediately upon his return to the country.

The Cyber Crimes Unit began investigating the clips circulating by the Jordanian singer, and an official security circular was issued to arrest him immediately upon entering Jordanian territory.

Amer al-Sartawi, media spokesman for the Jordanian Public Security Directorate, confirmed in press statements that a circular was issued to al-Silawi in preparation for his arrest immediately upon his return to Jordan, against the background of the religious statements he made on social media.

Accusations of contempt of religion

Al-Silawi faces charges related to contempt of religion, under article 273 of Jordan's penal code, which stipulates that "anyone who is proven to have the audacity to publicly prolong the tongue against the masters of the laws of the prophets shall be imprisoned from one to three years."

Due to his presence outside Jordan, "anticipation and arrest" procedures have been activated against him at all border crossings.

According to legal experts, he will be administratively detained as soon as he enters Queen Alia Airport, before being referred to the Public Prosecutor, who may issue a decision to detain him for 15 days pending investigation, while a "red notice" may be issued against him through Interpol if he continues outside the country.
