After Arafat and throwing the embers. Thepilgrims conclude the great pilgrimage

With the sunset of the last day of Tashreeq, the pilgrims of the Holy House of God conclude this year's Hajj rituals, after throwing the embers in the Mina Mosque, in a majestic scene of faith imprinted by the serenity, organization and spirituality of the place.

The pilgrims finished their rituals and left for their country, while others continue to head to Madinah to visit the Mosque of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) in a spiritual station that is no less effective and tranquility than the blessed days of Hajj.

Crowds of pilgrims stood at the level of Arafat Al-Tahir on the ninth of Dhu al-Hijjah of the year 1447 AH, corresponding to the twenty-sixth of May 2026, in the greatest pillar of the Hajj, before flowing to Muzdalifah and then to Mina to complete the rest of the rituals amid integrated services and extensive organizational, security and health measures.

Statistics & Figures

In this context, the General Authority for Statistics in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced that the total number of pilgrims this year  reached 1707301 pilgrims, including more than 1.5 million pilgrims who came from outside the Kingdom through air, land and sea ports, while the number of pilgrims inside the Kingdom reached more than 160 thousand pilgrims and pilgrims from citizens and residents.

Official data showed that the number of male pilgrims reached about 893,000,  compared to more than 813,000 female pilgrims, reflecting the universality of this ritual for Muslims of different nationalities and cultures.

The Authority explained that the vast majority of pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom arrived through air ports, while the rest were distributed between land and sea ports.

The General Authority for Statistics confirmed that the data of this year's Hajj season relied on the administrative records of the Ministry of Interior, within an accurate and unified statistical system, through which the Kingdom continues to develop Hajj services and raise the efficiency of organization and administration in a manner befitting the pilgrims.

Saudi Arabia confirms success of Hajj season

Saudi Arabia announced on Friday the success of this year's Hajj season through an "integrated system of security, organization and services" that enabled the pilgrims to perform their rituals "with ease and tranquility".

Prince Saud bin Meshaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee for Hajj and Umrah, said this in a televised statement, on the eve of the completion of the Hajj rituals.

He stressed the "success of the Hajj season for the year 1447 AH", stressing that it witnessed "an integrated system of security, organization and services, which enabled the guests of the Rahman to perform their rituals with ease and tranquility".

"The exceptional success achieved came thanks to God Almighty, and then with the unlimited support and wise directives of the wise leadership and the capabilities and resources it provided, in addition to the careful follow-up of all stages of work, readiness and implementation," he said.

Prince Saud said that "the Hajj season reflected the image of a nation that works with sincerity and dedication to serve the guests of the Rahman," stressing that "pilgrims performed their rituals in an atmosphere of security, tranquility and care that befits the honor of the place and the sanctity of time."

He pointed out that "the success of the Hajj is not the end of work, but the beginning of new responsibilities and an era that is renewed every year to preserve the Kingdom's position as a beacon of security and giving, and a destination for the service of Islam and Muslims."

Last season, the number of pilgrims reached one million and 673 thousand and 230 pilgrims from inside and outside the country, compared to more than one million and 833 thousand pilgrims in 2024.
