A strike in the heart of the ocean.. Iran's missiles target Diego Garcia and Trump, the end of the war

The military confrontation between Tehran on the one hand, and the United States and the occupation entity on the other hand, has entered the actual "bone-breaking" phase, with military operations moving to strategic distant areas deep in the Indian Ocean. In a dramatic development, intelligence and media reports revealed an Iranian attempt to target one of the most fortified and secret American bases in the world, amid a mutual promise to draw a new map of the region.

Targeting Diego Garcia: A transcontinental escalation

The Wall Street Journal reported that Iran's missile force fired two medium-range ballistic missiles at the Diego Garcia base. The danger of this step lies in the geographical location of the base, which is located in the middle of the Indian Ocean and is considered a staging ground for US strategic bombers:

Although the first missile landed before reaching the target as a result of a malfunction in the take-off process and  a U.S. warship (a destroyer equipped with the Oegis system) was able to intercept the second missile before it reached its target, the attack represents a clear Iranian message that it can reach the rear bases of the United States, not just those deployed in neighboring countries.

Trump: 5 weeks to settle the situation

In firm statements from the White House, US President Donald Trump outlined the temporal and political features of the ongoing military operation, emphasizing the following points:

Trump predicted that the operations would take between four and five weeks (and could extend to six weeks) to achieve all field objectives.

Trump stressed that the goal is not to "bring down the regime," but to dismantle Iran's nuclear ambitions and prevent Tehran from acquiring a nuclear weapon once and for all.

The US president revealed that Iran will need at least 10 years to rebuild its military capabilities and facilities targeted by the strikes.

"We are not seeking to change the regime, but to change its behavior and deprive it of the tools of the nuclear threat," he said.

On the ground: Raids in Tehran and missiles over Israel

As Iran's air defense systems tried to repel strikes over Tehran that were clearly heard this morning, Iranian television was announcing a wave of attacks targeting vital Israeli positions.

In the Israeli occupation entity, sirens sounded in the north and south amid reports of direct casualties and widespread interceptions.

In Iran: Activating air defenses in the vicinity of vital facilities and the capital to repel attacks described by sources as "precise".

The plan to decisive and control the "nuclear core"

Leaked reports about the "decisive plan" adopted by the US side indicate the possibility of using special forces to control sensitive oil facilities and nuclear centers, in what military circles describe as "cesarean section" to paralyze the regime's capabilities without engaging in a long-term war of attrition.

Reactions: "Saddam's fate"

For its part, the political response from Tehran was not delayed, as the Iranian leadership (the new leader) vowed that the "fate of Saddam Hussein" awaits Trump and Netanyahu, stressing that the bet on the fall of the regime in days is an "illusion" that has been repeated for decades.

Situation Analysis:

The region appears to be facing a historic turning point: either Washington succeeds in imposing a new reality in the next five weeks, or the confrontation descends into a regional war of attrition that includes global trade corridors in the Strait of Hormuz and the Indian Ocean.
