
A second batch of displaced people from Afrin leaves Qamishli for Aleppo

The Syrian government continues to return displaced and displaced families to their areas of origin, and today the government returned a new batch of displaced people from the Afrin region from Al-Hasakah governorate to their areas of origin in the eastern countryside of Aleppo province.
200 families from Qamishli to Afrin
Dr. Mustafa Abdi said that 200 families set off today from Qamishli to their original area in Afrin in Aleppo countryside in coordination with the Internal Security Command in Al-Hasakah and Aleppo governorates, and the Civil Defense, indicating that the return of this batch is part of the state's plan to return all displaced people from any area to their original areas, under the auspices and protection of the state.
He added that this batch is not the first and will not be the last, indicating that the state will ensure the appropriate conditions for the return of all displaced people in all governorates to their areas to practice their normal lives.
He pointed out that the return of these families comes within the file of the return of displaced people and displaced persons, which includes, in addition to the humanitarian aspect, the rehabilitation of schools that were occupied by displaced families in al-Hasakah province, to be opened in the next academic year.
Indescribable joy
A number of returnees expressed their joy to return to their villages in the Afrin region. Ibrahim Haftaro said that he has been eagerly waiting for this moment for 8 years to return to his home and land , thanking the Syrian government for its efforts in this important humanitarian file.
Abdel Rahman Ahmed said the measure itself was "a historic achievement for the government", while Lokman Aziz described his "indescribable joy" at returning to his hometown today after years of exile and displacement. .
Continuing to repatriate displaced people
As part of the efforts made to address the outstanding files and promote stability in the region. In the same context, the Presidential Envoy, Brigadier General Ziad Al-Ayesh, discussed today with Mazloum Abdi, the commander of the SDF, the security of the return of the displaced to their villages in the western countryside of Tal Abyad in Raqqa, Afrin and Al-Hasakah , and the follow-up of the process of integrating the SDF forces within the institutions of the Syrian state and working to release a batch of detainees.
The meeting included discussing the mechanism of handing over SDF prisons to the Syrian state, controlling the behavior of the so-called "Revolutionary Youth" and limiting the violations committed by them against the people.
Opening the M4 road
The official spokesman of the presidential team, Ahmed Al-Hilali, announced that the repatriation of the displaced people from Al-Hasakah province was delayed for several days due to the floods and floods caused by the heavy rains, which led to the closure of a number of roads. Among them is the M4 road.
He indicated that the return of this batch of displaced families from Qamishli to Afrin took place after the reopening of the Al-Hasakah-Tal Tamr M4 road to the movement of buses and passengers, where traffic on the road was resumed after it was interrupted during the past days due to the floods caused by the heavy rains witnessed in Al-Hasakah province in the previous days, before the movement gradually resumed after its rehabilitation.
