A noticeable escalation. 10 Israeli vehicles infiltrate the wooden cabbata

On Sunday morning, April 26, 2026, a patrol of the Israeli occupation army penetrated  the Al-Kassarat area on the outskirts of the town of Jabata Al-Khabar in the northern countryside of Quneitra, according to the Quneitra Information Directorate.

The directorate said in a statement posted on its Facebook account that the Israeli patrol carried out a search operation inside one of the quarries before withdrawing towards the military base inside the nature reserve, without recording any arrests.

In turn, the state-run SANA news agency reported that an occupation force consisting of 10 military vehicles penetrated into the vicinity of the town, set up a temporary checkpoint and conducted thorough searches of the crushers, with no information about arrests so far

A noticeable escalation

The Quneitra Information Directorate stated that during the past 24 hours, the Quneitra governorate witnessed a remarkable escalation on the ground, represented by a series of movements and incursions by the Israeli army in several axes.

The Directorate pointed out that a patrol of the Israeli occupation army infiltrated at midnight  yesterday into the town of Jabata Al-Khashb in the northern countryside, and carried out searches of a number of houses before withdrawing towards its military base in the nature reserve without registering any arrests, in conjunction with the establishment of a military checkpoint at the entrance to Al-Kassarat in the vicinity of the town, where passers-by were stopped while passing through the area.

In the central countryside, the Israeli occupation army set up a field checkpoint consisting of a Hummer machine gun and a number of soldiers in the village of Al-Mushairifa, and carried out searches of passers-by in the village.

In the southern countryside, the Israeli occupation army brought military vehicles and bulldozers to eastern Hill Ahmar, and continued to carry out fortification works and the lifting of earthen berms on top of the hill, after bringing prefabricated rooms to the site earlier.

This coincided with intensive overflights of Israeli warplanes in the airspace of the area, in addition to monitoring a state of alert and active movement of UN forces in the vicinity of Tal Krum since the morning hours, with the continuation of field monitoring and follow-up operations to document any military and security developments.

Israeli expansion in eastern Red Hill

During the past week, the southern countryside of Quneitra witnessed an escalation on the ground, with Israeli military movements that included bringing prefabricated rooms to eastern Tel Ahmar, in parallel with incursions and the erection of checkpoints in several areas.

Local sources reported that  the Israeli occupation army transferred 3 prefabricated rooms to an eastern hill of Ahmar, in the southern countryside of Quneitra, on the evening of Friday, April 17, as part of the expansion work of the base established on the hill after the fall  of the Syrian regime, and the incursion of Israeli forces into the buffer zone.

The sources pointed out that  the  occupation army had  earlier targeted the areas around the hill with artillery shells.

Tal Ahmar al-Sharqi has a strategic geographical location in the southern region of Quneitra governorate, as it is located in the buffer zone along the barbed wire.
