A negative draw imposes itself on  top of Milan and Juventus in Serie A

A goalless draw imposed itself on the summit meeting between Milan and its guest Juventus on Sunday, at the "Giuseppe Meazza" stadium, within the competitions of the 34th round of the Italian football league.

With this result, both teams squandered the opportunity to strengthen their grip on the Champions League qualification places, as Como and Roma marched towards the golden square, as Milan raised their tally to 68 points in third place, 3 points ahead of fourth-placed Juventus.

The first half was characterized by caution from both sides, and the first chances of the match were delayed until the 34th minute, when the Frenchman Adrian Rabiot, the player of Milan, received a through pass from the Serbian Strahenjapavlovic, and he shot a powerful ball, which was brilliantly saved by goalkeeper Mikele Di Gregorio.

Immediately afterwards, the other Frenchman, Jeffrey Thuram, scored a goal for Juventus in the 36th minute when he slipped to turn the cross of Portugal's Francesco Conceição, but the referee canceled it for offside.

In the second half, the attempts from both teams continued, but Milan looked more aggressive as Belgian Alexis Salmikeres' direct shot hit the crossbar in the 51st minute.

But Juventus were active in the final minutes, with Brazil's Gilson Bremer and Dutchman Théon Köpmeiners squandering two chances to take advantage of Milan's slump in performance.

In another match, leaders Inter Milan were content with a draw with their host Torino with two goals each, postponing the league title to the next round when they host Parma next Sunday.

Inter raised their tally to 79 points at the top, 10 points behind runners-up Napoli, while Torino's balance was frozen at 41 points in 13th place.
