6 Palestinians killed and wounded by Israeli gunfire in Gaza Strip
The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday, April 28, that a Palestinian was killed within 24 hours, raising the death toll of the Israeli genocide since October 2023 to 72,594.
The ministry said in a daily statistical statement that the Gaza Strip's hospitals received "a new martyr and 5 injured" within 24 hours.
The statement did not mention the circumstances of the new casualties, while the Israeli army has continued its violations of the ceasefire agreement since October 10, 2025, through shelling and shooting, which leads to deaths and injuries.
In this regard, the ministry explained that the number of victims of Israeli violations of the agreement since October 2025 has risen to "818 martyrs and 2301 injured," explaining that the toll of victims of the Israeli genocide since 2023 has also risen to "72,594 martyrs and 172,404 injured."
The agreement was reached two years after a genocide that Israel began on October 8, 2023, with US support, and left a massive destruction of 90% of civilian infrastructure at a cost estimated by the United Nations at about $70 billion.
Hebron... Israeli army arrests one child , injures another
Clashes broke out in al-Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron, during which Israeli forces fired live bullets at citizens, injuring a child who was taken to the hospital, where his injury was described as minor, according to local sources, who said that Israeli forces arrested another child amid an intensive military deployment in the vicinity of the camp.
The sources added that the tension spread to the town of Ithna, west of Hebron, where a number of Palestinians were suffocated by tear gas during a raid carried out by an Israeli force.
Israeli forces also raided several houses in the village and detained a number of youths before releasing them unjustly.
Arrests and demolition of houses in Yatta and Bireen
Israeli forces arrested Shadi Khalil Ghaith and his wife Doaa Khader Nassar after raiding their home in the area of Al-Muteena in the town of Yatta, south of Hebron in the West Bank.
Media outlets quoted the head of the village council of Bireen, southeast of Hebron, as saying that the Israeli forces distributed notices to demolish 5 houses in the village as a continuation of their aggressive practices and revenge against the residents for their resistance to the occupation.
These measures come as part of an ongoing demolition policy targeting Palestinian homes and facilities, at a time when Palestinian data indicate that the attacks by the army and settlers since October 2023 have resulted in the death of at least 1,154 Palestinians and the injury of about 11,750, in addition to the arrest of nearly 22,000.
Galod... Large-scale settlement attack on homes
The village of Jalud, south of Nablus, witnessed one of the most violent settlement attacks, after dozens of settlers stormed Palestinian homes, beat residents, burned an agricultural room and a storeroom, and tried to burn vehicles, according to residents' testimonies.
Um Shadi al-Toubasi told Anadolu Agency that the settlers broke into her house, burned it and forced her family out of it, stressing that they have been living for ten days in "constant terror" due to the continuous attacks and attempts to evict them from their home.
The head of the village council of Jalud explained that the settlement has consumed about 17,000 dunums of the village's land, and that the settlers seek to control the area connecting Jalud and Qusra, pointing out that the village today includes ten settlements and outposts, with work on establishing two new outposts.
Ambulance crews dealt with 15 injuries, including women and children, as a result of beatings with stones and sticks and cases of suffocation due to the burning of houses.
Fears of de facto annexation of the West Bank mount
Palestinian concerns are growing that escalating aggressions, including daily settlement attacks, demolitions and arrests, constitute practical steps toward de facto annexation of large parts of the West Bank.
Some 750,000 Israeli settlers reside in 141 settlements and 224 outposts in the West Bank, including about 250,000 in East Jerusalem, which the United Nations considers part of the occupied Palestinian territory.
Local officials and activists warn that the recent attacks, especially in Jaloud, Qusra, Turmusaya and al-Mughayir, represent an "unprecedented escalation" that could open the door to waves of forced displacement in the absence of any international intervention capable of stopping the attacks.
