30 players in the preliminary list of the Jordanian team for the World Cup
Moroccan coach Jamal Salami announced on Sunday the preliminary list of the Jordan national team, which consists of 30 players, to play the friendly matches against Switzerland and Colombia in preparation for participating in the finals of the 2026 World Cup for the first time in its history.
The Jordan coach, the runner-up of the 2025 Arab Cup, is seeking to equip Al-Nashami's stars in the best possible way before the historic first participation in the World Cup this summer in the United States, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.
The Jordanian national team will face its Swiss counterpart in a friendly on May 31, at the "Cuban Park" stadium in the Swiss city of St. Gallen, before leaving for its camp in San Diego, United States, from June 1 to 10 .
Al-Nashami concludes its preparations for the World Cup by facing Colombia on June 7 at the "Snapdragon" stadium, before settling in its official camp during the World Cup in the American city of Portland.
Jordan national team match schedule
Jordan will play in Group X alongside defending champions Argentina, as well as Algeria and Austria, and will begin its campaign against Austria on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 7:00 am Amman time at Levi Stadium in California.
Al-Nashami will play its second match against Algeria on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 6:00 am Amman time, also at the Levi Stadium.
The third and most difficult match will be against Argentina on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at 5:00 am Amman time at AT&T Stadium in Texas.
