3 Lebanese killed in Tyre and Israeli warnings to immediately evacuate several villages

Three people were killed and others were wounded on Wednesday as Israeli raids on the district of Tyre continued, as several other cities and towns in southern Lebanon continued to be targeted by airstrikes and artillery shelling.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that an Israeli raid targeted the town of Siddiqin in the district of Tyre this morning, killing two people and wounding several others, while another raid on a bear bird in the same district led to a fatal death, and civil defense teams are working to recover his body from under the rubble.

The Israeli warplanes also raided the town of Kafardunin, Deir Qanoon al-Nahr in the district of Tyre, and the town of Ben Naafol in the district of Zahrani.

In the Nabatieh district, an Israeli drone targeted a car at the western entrance to the southern town of Al-Duwair, while the town of Kafr Rumman was subjected to a firing rifle during the raids launched by the enemy warplanes on it.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday evening that the number of victims of Israeli raids on Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 3,666 dead and 11,321 wounded.

Israeli airstrikes continue

In addition, local Lebanese  sources and eyewitnesses reported on Wednesday morning that Israeli warplanes and drones carried out intensive and simultaneous raids targeting the towns of Kafr Dounin, Benafoul, Nabatieh al-Fuqa, Haboush, and Deir Qanoon al-Nahr, east of the city of Tyre.

The Israeli occupation forces' raids also targeted  the town of Kafr Rumman, which was subjected to "fire and intermittent artillery shelling" at about 6 a.m., and a hostile raid targeted the town of "Siddiqin" in the early hours of the morning, killing two people and wounding a number of others, while artillery shelling targeted the towns of Sahamer and Yahmar in the western Bekaa, and the towns of Zabqin and Majdal Zone in the southern sector of Tyre.

Israeli Army Radio quoted Settlement Minister Orit Struck as saying that Israel is placing restrictions on the offensive in Beirut, but has no restrictions on military operations in southern Lebanon.

In a related context, Israel's Channels 12 and 14 stressed that the intensification of airstrikes in southern Lebanon is aimed at sending a direct message to Iran that its threats will not prevent the continuation of operations in Lebanon, and that the Lebanese arena has returned to being the main battlefield.

Israeli warnings to evacuate southern villages

In this context, the Israeli occupation army issued an urgent warning to a number of residents of villages in southern Lebanon, calling on them to evacuate immediately in preparation for shelling them.

In two separate statements published on the "X" platform on Wednesday, June 10, IDF Spokesperson Avichai Adri told residents of the villages of Ghassaniya (South Governorate) and Houmin al-Foqa (Nabatieh Governorate) to immediately evacuate their homes and stay away at least 1,000 meters, to return later and warn the residents of the village of Ansariyya (South Governorate) to immediately move north of Nahr al-Zahrani in preparation for attacking what he claimed were "Hezbollah targets."

The orders were part of a series of ongoing violations of the fragile ceasefire agreement and the expansion of military operations to large areas in the south and the Bekaa Valley.

Hizbullah's response and international warnings

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Hizbullah announced the implementation of a series of military operations in response to the ongoing Israeli violations, including targeting an enemy armored force that tried to advance from the town of al-Bayada towards the Bayut al-Sayyad area, confirming  that it inflicted direct casualties on its ranks.

In the statement, the party pointed out that the party's elements confronted an Israeli "Hormuz-450-Zek" drone in the airspace of the Al-Tuffah region with a surface-to-air missile and forced it to retreat.

Politically, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun discussed the course of the Lebanese-American-Israeli negotiations in a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, where Aoun was briefed by the head of the negotiating delegation, Ambassador Simon Karam, on the atmosphere of the sessions held at the US State Department in preparation for the fifth session scheduled for June 22.

At the international level, UN Secretary-General António Guterres expressed grave concern over the new escalation of violence in the Middle East, stressing in a post on the "X" platform the need for all parties to abide by the ceasefire agreements in Lebanon, Iran and Gaza immediately and without hindrance.
