1300 settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the occupation police
On Thursday , July 23, more than 1,300 Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem, with the participation of extremist Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, under the protection of the occupation police, who imposed strict restrictions on the entry of worshippers to it.
The raid came in response to calls by Israeli far-right groups on the occasion of the anniversary of the so-called "destruction of the Temple", where witnesses said that hundreds of settlers stormed the mosque through the Maghreb Gate in the Western Wall, amid heavy protection from Israeli police.
Witnesses stated that the incursions were accompanied by widespread violations, including loud Talmudic prayers and rituals, including what is known as "epic prostration."
Wide restrictions on the entry of worshippers
A statement issued by the Jerusalem Governorate on Thursday, July 23, spoke of the storming of more than 1,300 settlers in the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, in conjunction with the commemoration of the so-called "anniversary of the destruction of the Temple."
The statement confirmed that the Israeli occupation police allowed the number of members of one group to increase during the incursions to reach about 150 settlers, amid tight security measures at the gates of the mosque and in the vicinity of the Old City of occupied Jerusalem.
The governorate reiterated that the Al-Aqsa Mosque with its entire area of 144 dunums is a purely Islamic place, and that all Israeli measures aimed at changing the historical and legal status are null and void.
Sources from the Islamic Endowments Department explained that the occupation forces intensified their deployment in various courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque and prevented worshippers from entering.
According to field reports, dozens of colonists performed what is known as the "epic prostration" in front of the Dome of the Rock and in the Eastern Province, in addition to wearing "tefillin" rolls and chanting songs, at a time when extremist "Temple groups" mobilized their supporters with the aim of reaching 5,000 intruders and distributing leaflets on the dates of the incursions.
Dead and wounded in the targeting of a tent for displaced people in the Gaza Strip
Local and medical sources announced that a Palestinian was killed and a number of others were wounded as a result of an airstrike launched by Israeli reconnaissance planes that targeted a tent sheltering displaced people in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Medical sources revealed that the shelling was carried out with at least one missile, which led to the immediate death of the citizen and the transfer of the injured, including serious cases, to Al-Awda Hospital, pointing out that the shelling caused a fire in the tent and its surroundings and spread a state of panic and panic among the displaced families.

The head of the village council of Faqu'a, Barakat Al-Omari, reported that the occupation forces closed three main and secondary entrances to the village northeast of Jenin with earthen berms towards the towns of Jalbon and Arboneh, and raided more than 20 houses and caused destruction in them.
Official sources in Jenin confirmed the arrest of 6 Palestinians by the occupation forces after raiding their homes and a university dormitory near the Arab American University, in addition to carrying out incursions and raids in the town of Silwad in Ramallah governorate, and the villages of Qafin and Sidon in Tulkarm governorate.
