President Ahmed Al-Sharaa and the Turkish Minister of Interior discussed ways to enhance cooperation and security coordination between the two countries, and exchange experiences in facing common challenges, in a way that contributes to supporting security and stability.‎

This came during his reception, Tuesday, June 30, at the People's Palace in Damascus, Turkish Minister Mustafa Çevçi and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of Interior Minister Anas Khattab.

Earlier today, the Turkish minister began a visit to Syria, during which he held talks with his Syrian counterpart Anas Khattab before they toured the Umayyad Mosque and the Old City of Damascus.

The Ministry of Interior said on its Telegram channel that the two sides discussed a number of common files, in addition to mechanisms to develop cooperation between the two ministries, in order to serve the interests of the two countries and peoples, and contribute to enhancing security and stability.

President Al-Sharaa Welcomes the Agreement between the Ministry of Communications and Zain Group

President Al-Sharaa also received Vice Chairman and CEO of Zain Telecommunications Group Bader Al-Kharafi and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdulsalam Heikal, along with a number of concerned officials.

President Al-Sharaa welcomed the agreement signed between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Zain Telecommunications Group, which paves the way for the Group's entry into the Syrian market, which contributes to the development of the telecommunications sector and the enhancement of digital infrastructure in Syria.

Zain Telecommunications Group won the new license for the mobile operator in Syria today, as part of the announcement ceremony held at the Umayyad Park in Damascus under the patronage of the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdel Salam Heikal.
