Palestinian woman killed in Israeli aggression on Gaza and settlers burn a school in Nablus
Palestinian medical sources announced that a Palestinian woman was killed on Monday morning, June 15, 26, as a result of the Israeli occupation forces targeting an area adjacent to her residence in the town of Al-Zuwaydah in the central Gaza Strip, and transferring her body to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.
Medical sources in Gaza published the daily statistical report of the number of deaths and injuries due to the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, where they reported that 3 dead and 16 injuries reached hospitals during the past 24 hours.
Medical sources explained that a number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, in light of the inability of ambulance and civil defense teams to reach them until this moment.
Medical sources announced, on Sunday, that the toll of the Israeli occupation's aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,996 dead and 173,246 injuries.
Settlers burn down school south of Nablus
In the West Bank, settlers launched a series of violent attacks, at dawn on Monday, when a group of them attacked citizens and burned agricultural lands planted with wheat in the Al-Masoudiya area, northwest of Nablus, injuring a citizen with a stone in his hand as they tried to break into a house there. Anas Shaheen, a teacher at the Jalud school, south of Nablus, also documented that the settlers burned a room inside the school and wrote racist phrases on its walls.
Settlers' attacks escalated on Sunday evening in Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate, where settlers attacked the village of Barqa and burned a vehicle parked near Al-Nour Mosque, smashed the doors of the mosque and tried to set it on fire at its entrance before the residents were able to put out the fire, and the occupation army deployed its forces in the area afterwards.
In the town of Deir Dibwan, settlers set fire to two vehicles and smashed two others in the Al-Marah area near the western entrance to the town. The village of Deir Abu Mash'al witnessed clashes after the settlers threw stones at Palestinian farmers to prevent them from reaching their agricultural lands, while the occupation forces raided the towns of Silwad, Yabroud, Beita, and the vicinity of the village of Rabud, south of Hebron.
Data from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) shows a record rise in settler attacks at a rate of up to 6 attacks per day resulting in damage or injuries.
Demolition of 7 buildings in Jenin
As part of the extensive demolitions, the Israeli authorities demolished, on Sunday, 7 buildings in the village of Barta'a, located behind the separation wall and southwest of Jenin governorate (classified as "C" according to the Oslo Accords) under the pretext of "lack of permits", and notified other houses of demolition, noting that the occupation demolished 18 houses in the same town during the past weeks and displaced dozens of residents.
In this context, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli occupation army's attempt to demolish these houses and residential and commercial facilities that shelter and belong to about 100 Palestinians, describing them as "part of the policy of forced displacement of Palestinians and the consolidation of annexation and settlement expansion plans."
The ministry pointed out that the Khor al-Dabaa area was also demolished during the past week, calling on the international community and UN institutions to take immediate action to stop the Israeli measures. Statistics from the Palestinian Commission for Resistance to the Wall and Settlements show that during last May, the occupation carried out 70 demolitions in the West Bank, including 155 Palestinian facilities, including 39 inhabited houses, 99 agricultural facilities and 8 sources of livelihood.
Palestinian prisoner dies after 24 years of detention
In the Israeli prisons, the Palestinian prisoner Imad Rajeh Mustafa Sarhan (48 years old) from the Wadi Nisnas neighborhood in the occupied city of Haifa died yesterday, after spending more than 24 years in prisons, where Mustafa had been detained since January 20, 2002.
The late Sarhan was subjected to a short interrogation that lasted for more than two months after his arrest, before an Israeli court sentenced him to life imprisonment in addition to 10 years, most of which he spent in solitary confinement for long periods, including 4 years continuously on the grounds of having a "secret file" against him.
His family and human rights organizations have repeatedly warned of the continued deterioration of his health status due to his suffering from chronic cardiovascular diseases and high blood pressure, and he has been forced to use a wheelchair since 2022 as a result of medical negligence and deprivation of the necessary treatment.
His death comes under extremely harsh conditions of detention in prisons, where prisoners' institutions have documented the martyrdom of dozens of detainees as a result of torture, medical negligence, starvation, and deprivation of their basic rights.
Hamas Delivers the Faction's Unified Response to the "Road Map"
On the political and diplomatic level, Hamas handed over the response of the Palestinian factions to the road map plan it had previously received from Nickolay Mladenov, the representative of the Peace Council, on April 19. The response came after intensive meetings held by Hamas and Palestinian factions with mediators in Egypt, Qatar and Turkey in the Egyptian capital Cairo over the past week, which resulted in the crystallization of the unified national position that was presented.
The factions affirmed their high responsibility and positivity with the roadmap for the implementation of the second phase of President Trump's plan, stressing at the same time the need to implement the first phase in all its details, especially with regard to the humanitarian protocol, and to stop all forms of aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
It also stressed the need to fully adhere to what is stated in the map regarding the entry of the Administrative Committee, the full Zionist withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and reconstruction, in order to achieve the goals of the Palestinian people in establishing their state and achieving their right to self-determination. The Hamas delegation in Cairo is scheduled to continue its meetings with mediators and factions to move forward with the implementation of what is agreed upon.
