On Thursday morning, June 11, Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike targeting the area between the towns of Hazin and Taria in the Bekaa.

The Israeli Army Radio confirmed that the air force attacked targets in the Baalbek area deep in Lebanon, 80 kilometers away, and this coincided with the intensive flight of the occupation drones at low altitude in the airspace of the capital Beirut and its southern suburbs.

An Israeli drone also targeted a house in the Makassed neighborhood in the city of Nabatieh at dawn, which led to the fire in it and the cars parked in front of it, in conjunction with artillery shelling that affected the vicinity of the popular Najda Hospital in Nabatieh, the roundabout of Kafr Rumman, Sir al-Gharbia and Ashit.

The death toll and the targeting of the health sector

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that 12 people were killed, wounded and 13 others in the recent Israeli raids that targeted Tiredba, Haris and Sidon last night, raising the total toll during 100 days of aggression from March 2 to June 9 to 3666 dead, including 247 children and 56 elderly people, in addition to the wounding of 11,321 others.

The data showed that more than 1,300 martyrs and more than 3,700 wounded were killed after the ceasefire was announced, and the occupation deliberately focused its attacks on the health sector, resulting in the martyrdom of 131 health workers, the damage to 17 hospitals and the closure of 3 of them, in addition to the martyrdom of 29 members of the Lebanese army and 21 members of the various security agencies.

Hezbollah's Military Responses

Hezbollah continued to confront daily attacks through a series of attacks with pious drones and rocket launches, as the party announced that it had targeted an Israeli communications mechanism and gatherings of occupation soldiers in the town of Al-Bayada and the vicinity of Yahmar al-Shuqif.

The party also stated in its official statements today that it destroyed a military transport vehicle loaded with the property of the homes of civilians in the town of Qantara, and targeted a tent in which the occupation soldiers were stationed on the outskirts of the eastern town of Zuter with an "Ababil" attack drone, while the Israeli army claimed to have destroyed an anti-armor missile platform and eliminated 35 members of the party during the past week.

The Future of Negotiations and Israeli Intransigence

Politically, a diplomatic source concerned with the direct negotiations file expressed his deep concern over the fate of the negotiation session scheduled for June 22 in Washington, attributing this to the lack of serious Israeli willingness to respond.

The source pointed out that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to continue military operations in Lebanon until the date of the next Israeli elections, pointing out that the "Washington Declaration" that includes the deployment of the Lebanese army, the withdrawal of militants and the establishment of test zones represents the only way to stop the current deterioration on the ground and facilitate reconstruction and the return of displaced people.

Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Raji said the distinction between Hizbullah's political and military wings is unrealistic, stressing that the party is an integrated entity that represents an illegal military organisation and is an armed arm of Iran to destabilize the region.

Raji explained that the military option has proven its complete inability to achieve any solution, praising the courage of the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister to open the door to direct negotiations with Israel to secure the return of one million displaced people, and to link the achievement of peace and the "handshake" to Israel's complete withdrawal from southern Lebanon and the cessation of its aggression.
