Israeli raids kill two Palestinians in Gaza and simultaneous arrest campaign in the West Bank

A medic and a high school student were killed and others were wounded in Israeli airstrikes targeting civilian vehicles in the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources in the Nasser Complex in Khan Yunis reported that a medic was killed and a colleague was seriously injured when a civilian vehicle was targeted by a missile from an Israeli drone in the area of Al-Mawasi (west of the city), which is home to thousands of displaced people.

The occupation planes targeted another civilian vehicle that was passing on Ahmed Abdel Aziz Street in the western Rimal neighborhood in Gaza City, which is a lively and densely populated neighborhood that doubled in density as high school students headed to take their exams.

The raid led to the death of a 17-year-old female student and the injury of 3 other citizens who were transferred to the Al-Saraya Field Hospital of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, in addition to the medical complex announcing in the evening that another injured person died from previous injuries he sustained two weeks ago in Mawasi Khan Younis.

This aerial bombardment was accompanied by land and sea movements, as the occupation forces fired their heavy machine guns and artillery shells intensively towards the eastern outskirts of the Gaza Strip, coinciding with raids carried out by Israeli helicopters that targeted the east of Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

9 Palestinians arrested in Bethlehem

At dawn and Tuesday morning, the Israeli occupation forces continued their systematic raids and arrests on the homes of unarmed citizens in the West Bank, and the broader campaign was concentrated in the Bethlehem governorate, where the occupation forces arrested 9 citizens from different areas after searching their homes and tampering with their contents.

Palestinian sources said that among the detainees were the secretary of the "Fatah" movement in the Aida camp, "Marwan Mahmoud Issa Fararja", in addition to other citizens from Al-Saff Street, the areas of Abu Freiha and Handaza and the town of Tuqu'.

In a related context, the arrests affected a young man after storming his house in the town of Tammun, south of Tubas, while the forces stormed the village of Kafr Qalil, south of Nablus, and raided the house of the family of the martyr "Nader Rayan", and detained his family members for several hours, during which they destroyed the house, targeting the infrastructure and personal property before withdrawing.

Shocking testimonies of the prisoners of "Damoon"

Leaked testimonies quoted by human rights sources about Palestinian women prisoners inside the Israeli prisons, specifically Al-Damoon Prison, revealed a tragic reality that includes practices of repression, dragging, stripping of clothes and arbitrary isolation.

In a testimony quoted by her lawyer, the imprisoned writer and political activist "Lama Khater" (50 years old) from Hebron explained that she was subjected to a "shameful search" followed by severe beatings and abuse inside Al-Maskobiyah Prison before transferring her to Ramle Prison and then to Damoon, pointing out that the hijab was forcibly removed, the prisoners were deprived of rest time in the yard, and the use of police dogs and stun grenades to intimidate them inside the overcrowded rooms that lack the family, forcing some of them - including pregnant women - to sleep directly on the floor amid a severe shortage of meals Daily food.

In a parallel testimony, the prisoner "Nevin Tawfiq Hassan Abdullah" from Tulkarm confirmed that her health condition has deteriorated and she has lost about 10 kilograms of weight due to deliberate medical negligence, as the prison administration is content to describe "drinking water" as the only treatment for all diseases and pains, stressing that the department has witnessed more than 21 brutal raids and repressions since her arrest last April.

• Commenting on these violations, political activist Samar Hamad warned that the occupation authorities are turning prisons into a systematic tool of "collective punishment" aimed at breaking the will of Palestinian women, stressing the need to activate legal and media support to save the lives of 89 prisoners facing inhumane conditions behind bars.
