Israeli force infiltrates western countryside of Daraa and shoots at farmers

Local sources in Daraa  said on Saturday,  June 13,  that an Israeli force infiltrated from the Jazeera military barracks towards the valley of the village of Mariya in the western countryside of Daraa, and fired at farmers who were working on their agricultural lands.

The sources added  that the  Israeli force included ten military vehicles, and advanced in the vicinity of the valley before firing at the farmers in the area, who exceeded 50 farmers.

The shooting prompted farmers to withdraw from their land for fear of being targeted, it said, and there were no reports of casualties.

Residents are calling on the concerned authorities to intervene to ensure that farmers are protected and able to access their lands, amid fears that these measures will continue and their repercussions on the living reality in the area.

Another incursion into the town of Koudna in the countryside of Quneitra

In this context,  local sources in Quneitra  indicated that the Israeli occupation forces infiltrated on Friday evening in the town of Kodna in the southern countryside of Quneitra in Syria, and carried out searches of a number of houses, as part of the repeated violations of the occupation.

According to the sources, Israeli forces entered the town and conducted field searches of the houses, and there were no reports of arrests.

The southern areas of Syria, in particular, are witnessing almost daily Israeli violations in various forms, including aerial bombardments, ground incursions, and the erection of military checkpoints, in addition to raiding homes and arresting civilians, including children and sheep herders.

Israel insists on the survival of its occupying forces in Syria

Israeli Minister of War Israel Katz confirmed that Israel will not withdraw from the areas it occupies in Syria, Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, stressing that the Israeli army will continue to work in what he described as "security zones" on various fronts.

Katz said on Saturday, June 13, that Israel's security doctrine is based on confronting near and distant threats and achieving decisive results, considering that Israel no longer accepts policies of compromises or security concessions.

The Israeli minister stressed that the October 7 attacks marked a turning point in Israeli security thinking, stressing that Tel Aviv has learned lessons from those events, and that it will continue to maintain military sites that it deems necessary to protect its national security.

These statements indicate an Israeli approach based on consolidating the military occupation in the areas it controlled during the war and treating them as advanced lines of defense.
