Israel kills Palestinian and seizes hundreds of dunams in Ramallah
A Palestinian youth was shot dead by Israeli forces in the village of Sarta, west of the town of Salfit, at dawn on Thursday. Local sources told the Palestinian news agency "Wafa" that the young man, Mustafa Taha Mustafa Al-Khatib (32), was killed after Israeli forces stormed his house and shot him directly, raising the number of people killed by the army and settlers since the beginning of this year until this morning, to 72 dead, including 17 children, 5 women and the elderly.
Arrests in Deir Qadis and Huwara
Palestinian security sources announced that the Israeli occupation forces arrested five young men from the village of Deir Qadis, west of Ramallah, at dawn on Thursday.
Palestinian sources told the Palestinian Wafa News Agency that the occupation forces stormed the village and arrested Huzaifa Sarhan Satih (29), Munjid Adnan Satih (25), Amjad Ghazi Hussein (36), Salah Ibrahim Hussein (21), and Salah Ibrahim Qatusa (25), after raiding and searching their homes.
The occupation forces also arrested a citizen and two children at dawn after military vehicles stormed the town of Huwara and the villages of Qaryut and Majdal Bani Fadel, south of Nablus, and searched their houses and tampered with their contents.
Control of hundreds of dunams north of Ramallah
The Israeli occupation authorities seized 464.4 dunums of land in the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate, under the name of "state lands" for colonial purposes.
The Anti-Wall and Settlement Commission said on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation authorities have escalated their policies aimed at consolidating colonial control over the Palestinian territories, by announcing the seizure of 464.4 dunums of land in the village of Sinjil, in a move that directly targets the area on which the "Givat Haruya" colonial outpost, or what has become known as "Karmei Oz", which was established in 1998 and which the occupation government decided on December 11, 2025, to turn into a retroactive self-contained colony.
The Commission explained that the declaration of "State Lands" covers the entire area on which the colonial outpost is based, located between the settlements of "Shilo" in the east and "Ma'ale Levana" in the west, on both sides of Street 60, in order to achieve a continuous geographical extension between the components of the so-called "Shiloh" colonial bloc, by establishing a kind of "settler finger" that connects the outpost to the surrounding colonies and strengthens Israeli control over large areas of Palestinian lands in the area.
Military operation in Jenin and demolition notices in Bethlehem
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that a young man, Muhammad Nazem Izzat Zayed, 29, was killed on Wednesday by Israeli forces and his body was detained, during a military operation carried out on Wednesday in the town of Al-Yamun, west of Jenin.
A statement issued by the Israeli army and the Shin Bet claimed that Zayed was wanted on suspicion of involvement in the arms trade and supplying the perpetrator of a shooting attack in 2025 with weapons that wounded two soldiers, and that he was killed after trying to escape.
An AFP resident of the town, Sanad Abu Tul, said that a special force surrounded the house and shot the young man at close range inside the yard, stressing that it was possible to arrest him without resorting to killing him.
The ambulance officer in the Palestinian Red Crescent, Murad Khamaiseh, confirmed that the army forces prevented the ambulances from reaching the site for the duration of the operation, which lasted about an hour and a half.
The Israeli forces notified the head of the village council of Al-Walaja, Khader al-Araj, to halt construction work on 15 Palestinian houses in the area of "Khallet al-Samak", northwest of Bethlehem, under the pretext that they were being built without a permit in areas classified as "C".
At the same time, Israeli forces carried out demolitions targeting two mobile agricultural rooms and a concrete wall in the al-Sarj area of the town owned by a civilian resident, al-Araj said.
A report released by Amnesty International on 10 June accused Israel of leading a campaign of "ethnic cleansing" in the West Bank, arguing that the arming of thousands of settlers had contributed to an increase in the pace of violations, settlement expansion and razing of agricultural land.
