The composition of the new Syrian People's Assembly was officially completed today, Wednesday, July 1, 2026, after the head of the High Elections Committee, Mohammed Taha al-Ahmad, announced the names of the "complementary third" appointed by President Ahmed al-Shara.

During a press conference held in the lobby of the People's Assembly in central Damascus, the Chairman of the Committee read out Decree No. (143) of 2026, which includes the names of the members of the People's Assembly who won membership and were previously announced by the Supreme Elections Committee, in addition to the names of the complementary third of the members of the Council.

During the conference, Al-Ahmad called for the People's Assembly to convene on Monday, May 6, 2026, indicating that the duration of the People's Assembly's session based on the Constitutional Declaration is two and a half years (30 months) that can be extended.

The names of the members of the supplementary third as stated in the decree are as follows:
